Telos Ecosystem Project Spotlight- DIA
DIA (Decentralized Information Asset) is an end-to-end data and oracle platform for Web3. Its revolutionary open-source platform brings data providers, users, and DAO community members together to enable the sourcing, validation, and use of verified data feeds. DIA’s data is directly sourced from a broad array of on-chain and off-chain sources at individual trade-level. This allows DIA feeds to be fully customized with regards to the mix of sources and methodologies, resulting in tailor-made, high resilience feeds and thereby setting a new paradigm for oracles.
DIA’s transparent data infrastructure is integrated with the Telos EVM, enabling developers to use price feed oracles that can be customized to the specific needs of a use case. Currently, DIA supports price feeds for 20k+ DeFi and NFT assets and other data categories such as Metaverse data, lending rates, exchange rates, and more.
DIA Data Categories
To provide such a comprehensive data library, DIA sources data directly from off-chain (CEXes) and o-chain (DEXes and Metaverses) sources, fetching thousands of trade-level data points each second.
DIA’s crowd-sourcing design enables the platform to utilize a wide selection of sources to generate maximum coverage of asset price data. If a data feed is publicly accessible, DIA can source it regardless of factors such as trading volume or if the asset is listed on an exchange.
Through dedicated oracle smart contracts or APIs, newly validated data points are made available to developers across multiple layer one and layer two blockchain networks.
DIA’s data offering is as follows:
- Cryptocurrencies: Price data for over 2,000 cryptocurrencies.
- Traditional Finance: Price data for over 20,000 equities.
- NFT Market: NFT floor price data for over 18,000 NFT collections.
- Other data: Additional data for FX rates, lending rates, and farming pools.
DIA’s platform features three key entities:
- Open Contributors: A broad community of developers build scrapers to collect data from new sources to aggregate to the DIA open-source platform.
- Governors/validators: The community of DIA token holders tasked with governing responsibilities (i.e., vote for platform modification improvement, validate features, governance of the DIA Association), a feature that significantly differentiates DIA from other oracle solutions.
- Off-chain computation: Incoming raw data is analyzed and processed using transparent methods to ensure all data is accurate.
Project Update
DIA’s ecosystem has grown at a break-neck speed, as its open-source price oracles have found their way into countless blockchain networks and exchanges. Additionally, the team recently introduced DIA DAO, enabling the platform to transition from a centralized to a decentralized organization and rewarding the DIA community for their support in the growth and development of DIA.
