Telos Core Developers Snapshot
May 15th-21st
Dear Telos Community,
We are absolutely delighted to present to you our new weekly series–The TCD Snapshot! The TCD Snapshot series will be dedicated to showcasing our fervent strides forward in regard to developments from the past week. Our dedicated TCD team has been working tirelessly, chipping away at the future of Telos, refining our core product features, and successfully resolving challenges so it’s time to show them off!
Here’s your weekly Snapshot from the Telos Core Developers:
Telos Wallet: From deactivating staking/wrap menu links for the MVP release to integrating a new indexer for token balance retrieval, we have accomplished a lot. We also squashed a pesky bug affecting native wallet connections, enhanced the balance fetching method for ERC20 tokens, and have now introduced automatic balance updates across the platform. Plus, typography management has been streamlined, and an issue with RPC endpoint updates has been promptly fixed.
EVM Translator: We’ve optimized communication through a repository rename, improved gap checking, and resolved transactions that contained more than the expected number of fields.
EVM Docker: Several enhancements here include the addition of a command-line option to control which containers get launched, enabling the garbage collector library on the indexer, introducing an indexer reconnect test, and fortifying dependency security.
App Telos Native: Back-end API endpoints have been updated to improve user experience.
API Telos Net: We’ve added the new feature, ‘Market data route,’ updated supply exclusions, and increased system security. Privacy was also elevated by relocating the Recaptcha API key to AWS secret.
BP Auditor: We’ve boosted URL handling, enhanced history check functionality, and fixed SSL check inconsistencies.
Chains: The testnet address for Chainlist listing has been updated.
Token List: Our quest to improve token coverage continues unabated.
Current Priorities: Our eyes are currently set on the EVM Wallet MVP Release. This includes Metamask and WalletConnect support, Send, Receive, Token Balances, and Transactions. We are also working tirelessly on refining the wallet onboarding experience and advancing NFT support, designs, and implementation. Moreover, we’re focusing on EVM Contract’s 1.5 Completion and Release, the 2.0 Development, and back-end improvements.
Our commitment to the Telos community remains unwavering as we aim to deliver high-quality results. We hope this snapshot provides a clear vision of our ongoing initiatives and the progress we are making toward the future of Telos and the blockchain industry as a whole. Thank you for your continued faith in a Telos-For A Faster, Fairer Future.
