Congratulations to the first elected arbitrators of the Telos Blockchain Network!

March 17th, 2019: History was made at 02:01:36 GMT-0700 Friday, March 15th 2019 — as the first on-chain election by Telos voters concluded. The Telos Foundation is pleased to offer our official congratulations to the four candidates who have been elected as Telos Arbitrators.

Blake Lagarde: Blake has a B.S. Biological Sciences and a B.S. Nursing from Louisiana State University. Blake Lagarde’s journey towards arbitration candidacy has been unique. He was an strong advocate for those who had their keys lost or stolen during the Telos pre-launch process, and has been a huge part of the success of that program. Blake looks forward to the opportunity being a Telos arbitrator presents — to continue his work helping those in need.

Chijioke Ilochonwu: Chijioke is the current owner of Nobles, a shipping and logistics company that coordinates the movement of goods and services overseas with over a million dollars in gross revenue. He has a bachelors degree in Pure and Industrial Chemistry from University of PortHarcourt, Nigeria. Originally from Nigeria, he is a naturalized citizen of the USA.

Mikko Ohtamaa: Mikko is a the Chief Technical Officer of TokenMarket, an open source advocate, and blockchain developer.

Mikko has had a long career in software development which begun with early mobile software in 1999. Later, Mikko moved to cryptography based systems, working on Bitcoin in 2013, and then Ethereum in 2016. He brings his expertise of IT forensics and in-depth blockchain expertise to the arbitration panel. Mikko resides in Gibraltar and speaks English and Finnish.

Justin Yashouafar: Justin Yashouafar is a Managing Partner at Blockhead Capital, a blockchain and crypto-asset focused investment fund. He attended the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Justin later continued his education at The UCLA School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree with a specialization in Business Law.

The Telos Network is the world’s first governed blockchain with arbitrators elected by its members. We are looking for legal professionals from around the world to help us build the Telos arbitration system into a model for all future blockchain governance and arbitration.

Arbitrators may be individuals, teams, or firms who nominate themselves by executing the regarbitrator contract. Arbitrators are elected by TLOS token-holders, and are paid arbitration fees in TLOS. For more information about the Telos Arbitration Program: https://telosfoundation.io/arbitrators
