In April, the Telos team embarked on a global journey, attending prestigious conferences such as NFT BC and Consensus 2023. These events played a pivotal role in bolstering our established partnerships and forging new alliances, contributing to the growing influence of the Telos Network in the Web3 community.

As our network continues to expand, we welcome new ecosystem partners, drive innovative marketing campaigns, and foster a heightened awareness of the Telos Network within the web3 space.

Recently, our attention has been riveted on GameFi, a rapidly evolving sector where we’re making significant strides. A testament to this focus was the ‘Powered by Telos GameFi edition’ Twitter space panel, which garnered an impressive audience of 2.4K listeners! With its remarkable speed, responsiveness, and minimal transaction costs, Telos is increasingly becoming the preferred blockchain for GameFi.

In this article, we invite you on a journey through April’s milestones and highlights, offering an in-depth recap of the Telos team’s endeavors during this busy month. So, without further ado, let’s dive right in!

In April, the Telos Core Developers (TCD) continued their relentless pursuit of improving the Telos ecosystem, achieving significant milestones across several critical projects. Their accomplishments are as follows:

Core Telos Blockchain

  • LEAP: Progress was made on the substitution plugin, with fixes made to memory violations at runtime and improvements to performance.

Telos EVM

  • Telos EVM-Docker: The Hyperion build was fixed, and the repository was secured and made public. This allows the community to benefit from containerized local EVM development and the building of automated tests.
  • Telos EVM ElasticSearch Indexer: A bug related to logs bloom was identified and fixed.

Teloscan & dApps

  • Teloscan: The team identified issues in Teloscan that could only be resolved by deploying version 1.5. The focus moving forward is on releasing this version to improve the quality of Teloscan.
  • Teloscan-indexer: Work is ongoing on the Price API for creating an Etherscan-like Token List and serving prices to the Telos EVM wallet.
  • Telos Wallet: The team has made considerable strides in enhancing user experience on the Telos Wallet platform. They have successfully integrated a token balance API that allows users to view their real-time account balances, and balances are now sorted by fiat balance first, followed by token balance. The send page has been visually redesigned to improve user experience, and token sending capability has been enabled. The receive page now generates a QR code for the account address logged in, making it easier for users to share their information. A wallet transaction row component has been added to the wallet transactions view, improving tooltip behavior and ensuring that transaction rows match the design on both mobile and desktop screens.

Moving forward, the TCD team’s priorities include:

  • EVM Ecosystem User Experience: Improvements will be made in onboarding, sending, receiving, checking balances, and wrapping/unwrapping TLOS (Telos).
  • 1.5 EVM contract: The team is focused on this contract’s implementation.
  • Node Operator Support: Providing more robust support for node operators is a key priority.
  • 2.0 EVM contract: The team will also be working on the implementation of this contract.
  • Teloscan Etherscan API: The team is working on this API to improve the Teloscan service.
  • Telos EVM Wallet: The team plans to add Staking, Revoke, and NFT features to the wallet.

Overall, the TCD made significant progress in April, enhancing core features and improving their product offerings. The focus remains on improving the user experience, making Telos more accessible, and addressing key technical issues.
