With Alberto’s impressive career history and pioneering work in Zero Knowledge and SNARKs, his addition to the product team provides Telos with a clear path to the acceleration of blockchain development and innovation.
A Pioneer in Blockchain Technologies
Alberto is no stranger to innovation in blockchain technology. Since early 2018 as the CTO at Horizen Labs and later as the Head of Software Engineering for the Midnight project at Input Output (IOHK), he has been involved in leveraging SNARK and Zero Knowledge technologies to improve privacy and scalability in the blockchain domain.
Key achievements include:
- Co-authorship of the Zendoo and Latus white papers: These innovative papers present a completely decentralized sidechain system based on recursive SNARKs, paving the way for a new era in blockchain technology.
- Over 15 years of experience in software architecture: This extensive experience spans several application fields, from artificial intelligence to audio/video technologies, underlining Alberto’s diverse skill set.
- CTO roles in startup companies: Alberto has previously taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer, demonstrating his leadership abilities and insight into team management, software and systems architecture, and developer mentorship.
Expertise in Decentralized Applications and SNARKs
During his time as Chief Technology Officer at Horizen Labs, Alberto was instrumental in the design and development of core blockchain technologies. His expertise in the application of SNARKs and Zero Knowledge to enhance privacy and scalability will be invaluable as he spearheads TCD efforts in the ZK Technologies division.
